Summer Garden






July was HOT and dry, but I kept the plants green. The tomatoes and cucumbers took a big hit. the Asparagus was steady. It was so bad the bees could not do their work.

Spring Garden

Cabbage and 2nd planting of loose leaf lettuce
String beans on the left and squash in the center.

Tomatoes on the vertical frame and string beans to the right.

Regrowth of early loose leaf lettuce after being cut. Sugar snap peas on the vertical frame.
Cabbage, red lettuce, & summer loose leaf lettuce.

Good Beets.

Spring Garden

Strawberries at the left corner. Onions in the center. Beets are just left of center.
Frames set for tomatoes. Green beans very close to blooming. Sugar snap peas & lettuce in the center. Potatoes white with self rising flour to combat the beetles. Will NOT use Sevin dust. It is bad for the honey bees.

Great bowl of loose leaf lettuce...taste great too.

Spring Plantings

Frames are up for the peas. Green beans are on the right side with the lettuce in the center. Tomatoes are in as well.
3 boxes of potatoes in the background.

This is a picture from the 2009 garden. The girls were enjoying those sugar snap peas.


Long bed in the back has strawberries. Then onions and beets with 2 beds of red potatoes. Closer beds have radishes & cabbage with lettuce and sugar snap peas on the right.
